Obituary of Vincent B. Plutino, M.D.
Vincent B. Plutino, M.D., a longtime Yonkers resident died Saturday, May 1, 2004. He was 85 years old. Dr. Plutino was born February 3, 1919, in Bronx, NY, the son of the late John and Clara (DiPede) Plutino he attended schools in the Bronx and graduated from Fordham University with a B.S. in Biology. He attended Marquette University Medical School and received his Medical Degree in 1944. Dr. Plutino served as a Battalion Surgeon in the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II, serving in Germany and France. He was discharged as a Captain in 1947. Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Angelina (nee Migliaccio), he is also survived by his dear children, Claire (and Frank) Ambrosino, John Plutino, Teresa (and Christopher) Gorman. He was the cherished grandfather of Angela and Christina Gorman. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 854 Midland Avenue, Yonkers, NY. Entombment will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery Mausoleum, Hartsdale, NY. Calling hours for family and friends will be Sunday and Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at F. RUGGIERO & SONS, Inc., 732 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY.
