Carmela Femia, a long time resident of Yonkers, passed away at the age of 96. She was born on June 24, 1925 in Marina di Gioiosa Ionica Calabria, Italy, to the late Rocco & Marianna.
Carmela was the beloved wife of the late Vincenzo, who predeceased her in 1980. She was also predeceased by her dear grandson Angelo, granddaughter Maryann, and five brothers
and two sisters. She was the loving mother of Nick (Josephine), Anna, and Rocco (Josephine). Carmela was a cherished grandmother of Carmen, Lisa, Vincent (Maureen), Vincent (Erin) and Bianca. She was also a devoted great grandmother of Kayla & Nicolas. She is survived by her brother Joseph and her sister Natalina. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to current circumstances, the Femia family is requesting all parties in attendance to wear a mask.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 28th at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, Yonkers with interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Yonkers. The family will be present on Tuesday before the Mass from 8:30 AM -9:30 AM at Ruggiero & Sons, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Services – 732 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704.
Our facility at 732 Yonkers Avenue is independently owned & operated by Richard & Michael Ruggiero. This location is staffed by Michael, Eileen, Michelle & Andrew Ruggiero and Jessica Martins. At this time, this is the only facility owned and operated by the Ruggiero family
