Obituary of Mary Hoffer

Mary Hoffer, a longtime resident of Yonkers, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2021 at the age of 94. Mary was the loving mother of Henry (Vanessa) Strickrodt, Richard (Deborah) Strickrodt, Juliana (Anthony) Aquilino and David (Eileen) Hoffer. Cherished grandmother of Henry (Lisa) Strickrodt, Jenna Strickrodt (Keith), Matthew (Cherie) Strickrodt, Danielle (Charles) Link, Anthony Aquilino, Frankie (Paola) Aquilino and Victoria Hoffer. Adored great grandmother of Bella Link and Olivia Strickrodt. Mary was predeceased by her adored grandson, Richie Strickrodt. Mary was a devout catholic who had strong faith in God. She was devoted to her family, especially around the holidays making a huge family meal for everyone to enjoy. She was known for her outstanding Thanksgiving dinners. She was an avid Yankees fan and loved a good night out with family and friends. Mary was adored and will be sorely missed by everyone she came across. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to Saints Peter & Paul and Saint Ursula Church - 129 E Birch Street, Mt Vernon, NY 10552. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 11th at 10 AM at Sts. Peter & Paul and St. Ursula Church - 129 E Birch St, Mt Vernon, NY 10552 with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
