Vincent Alonzo Gilliam, 59, of Yonkers, New York, passed away on August 20, 2020. He was born to parents Leonard Gilliam Sr. and Thelma Davis-Johnson, on December 29, 1960 in Mount Vernon, New York.
He graduated from Mount Vernon High School. Following high school, Vince went on to serve his country in the United States Army where he became an expert M-16 rifleman.
Vincent worked as a Reproduction Manager for 20+ years and after 20+ years of service, Vince retired from Westchester Community College in 2016.
Vince enjoyed music and was an amazing singer. He also spent time producing artists and staying up on the latest music technology.
Vincent is survived by Ramal Brown, son, Shari Lewis, sister, Leonard Gilliam Jr., brother, 2 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family has entrusted F. Ruggiero & Sons Inc. Funeral Home with the arrangements. A Memorial Gathering with Military Honors is scheduled for Thursday September 3, 2020 from 4-8pm at 732 Yonkers Avenue. Deacon Dwana L. Blades will officiate the ceremony. His cremated remains will be entombed at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, New York at a later date.
