Only heard about Aunt Ann and how much she loved family and especially her kid brother. She had a wonderful journey the last 4 years of her life with her kid brother and family. She must have been so happy and so connected with all the Lattuca'a that loved her so special. Her journey was complete here with all the love that surrounded her.

My deepest condolences to Anna’s family. She was my neighbor on the 2nd floor at 77 Bronx River Road. She always greeted me with a smile and stopped for a chat. A deeply religious lady who loved her church, St. Barnabas. I was only thinking about you last night Anna and wondering how you were. Now I know you’re home in Heaven with Our Blessed mother and her son. May you Rest In Peace my dear. Bernadette Lehane

So sorry to hear about Ann - my former office secretary who worked for me for many years in White Plains. She was a treasure.
The only legal secretary I knew who still used shorthand, and got it all down no matter how fast I talked. I also worked with Ann when she was on the co-op board at 77 Bronx River Road, and I was the co-op attorney. Those were fun and adventure-filled years - never a dull moment.
Ann: this message is for you: I thought about you just a month ago and found out that you were living in St Augustine. I found a telephone number on line but got no answer when I called. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I never forgot you. May you rest in peace. Phil Menna

Thank you for your comment Phil. I remember you , Ann spoke of you all the time when she worked with you. We took her with us almost five years ago. She was suffering dementia and was in a facility near family at least. You can call me if you like. 904 342 8453 I'm her sister in law Lilly married to her younger brother Vinny who passed over a year ago with same disease. I was very close to her and will miss her dearly. Yes she was a treasure.

Aunt Anna, so many things come to mind when I think of you and they make me smile. You were so excited when you got your driver’s license. You couldn’t wait to get a car and drive up to Mom & Dad’s. You’d give a call ahead of time saying you thought you’d come up for a couple hours and have a cup of coffee. When you arrived, we could count on you to walk in, do a little shuffle/stomping step in place and extend your arms out for a big hug and kiss. You were so excited to see us and we were excited for you to be there. We’d have a wonderful visit and when it was time for you to go, you’d clap your hands, say “Alright, it’s that time”, hand your keys to someone and ask them to turn your car around in the driveway, so you could just zip right out. At family functions, you’d greet all of us with that same enthusiasm. We’d then quietly ask each other if we had any lipstick on our cheeks and smile. We knew you had arrived and we’d been greeted, if we did. I remember joining you on a trip to Long Island for an overnight at Aunt Lil & Uncle V's. You knew I would love going and you said you’d enjoy the company. That was a special weekend. You took time for me and I was thrilled. John and I were so happy to have you and Joy come to visit for Mom’s 90th birthday. A boat ride on the lake, dinner out and lots of time to sit and chat. As the years passed, your warm welcome never faltered. We knew if Aunt Anna was around, we’d all feel loved!

My Anna, My Chosen Sister.
Your 'kid' Brother as you called him and I, shared so many wonderful memories with you and our Family over the 60 years . If i could have chosen a sister it was definitely you. I grew to Love you even more once you came down near us. Visiting you twice a week for us was a real treat..In N.Y sometimes months would go by unless there was a family function. We made some celebration up , we knew you'd be there!!! Kids all Loved you , you always had a kick in your step which was refreshing for them . You always cared about each of them , what they were doing, and how they genuinely were. You were Family, our Family and we Loved you so much.
I feel blessed that I had you these last 4 plus years , we connected even more if that was possible.
Your journey is complete , your devotion to the Blessed Mother and her Son is now the culmination of that devotion.
Your new journey will be for eternity with those you Love. A special hug to your 'kid' brother for me. Tell him i'm ok.
I'm so glad i went into your world and was able to whisper all those thoughts that are in my heart . Until we meet again my sister
Lilly

My Auntie, you will be so missed. Growing up, you were always present in our lives. So much so I was instructed to give up a drawer in my bedroom for your clothes when you came out on weekends. As a young girl, giving up drawer space was a big deal! I gladly shared my space with you because it meant you spent time with us. I know you heard my conversation with God Thursday afternoon and the playlist of Catholic songs. It comforts me knowing that was the last sound you heard with Mama’s rosary in your hands. Don’t forget the whispers of all things you need to say and do for me when you see my Dad. I love you Auntie and I am grateful to be your Niece.
