F. Ruggiero & Sons of Westchester, Inc. is a fifth generation funeral home which has been independently owned and operated by the Ruggiero family since 1875. Our facility at 732 Yonkers Avenue is independently owned & operated by Richard & Michael Ruggiero. This location is staffed by Michael, Eileen, Michelle and Andrew Ruggiero. At this time, this is the only facility owned and operated by the Ruggiero family.

Our handicap accessible funeral home is located 2 1/2 blocks west of Yonkers Raceway or the New York State Thruway/ I-87. It is also easily accessible from all major highways and thoroughfares.

Ruggiero & Sons Funeral Homes are proud to be members of Selected Independent Funeral Homes, an international association of independent funeral directors who have met and continue to maintain exacting standards of funeral service. Membership is by invitation only and is extended only after a thorough evaluation of character, service, performance and facilities.

For friends and family who are unable to visit the funeral home, our online obituaries may be viewed by clicking the "Obituaries" link in the banner to the left. When the search page opens you may click on the name you are seeking in the "Recent Obituaries" section or you may search past obituaries by entering information in the search box. The "Light a Candle" section of our online obituaries allows one the opportunity to express thoughts of remembrance, sympathy and condolence to the family.

Look for the candle icon on the left side of the page next to the the funeral information. Click the icon, enter your name and your e-mail, write your thoughts in the "Memories" space provided. When finished, enter the Captcha letters and/or numbers shown in the box then click the "send" button. Your candle will appear on the main obituary page to the left of the funeral information and the biography. Recent obituaries appear for approximately three weeks in the list on the bottom of the search page.
